Winston Weinberg, founder & CEO of the legal AI startup Harvey, downplayed the role of autonomous agents for legal applications at the Cerebral Valley AI Summit, as well as the idea that they’re poised to replace professionals en masse.

Noting that “only about 1%” of its business comes from the AI-obsessed Bay Area, “I think the whole idea that a lot of these professional services are going to go is greatly exaggerated,” said Weinberg. For now, Harvey is content being the in-between service provider for law firms and their enterprise clients.
